On June 17, 2015, SPARC is thrilled to host the Honorable Ignacio Velazquez, mayor of Hollister with his talk: “Changing California–One City at a Time.”

Velazquez, born in Santa Ana, California, is a rising star in the state GOP who recently spoke at the state convention. In 2012, this former president of the San Benito County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce became the first directly-elected mayor in Hollister history. He’s convinced that the lessons learned in local government are the key to our future.
